Acetate Tag Card, Holly & Berry, Female

I'd never heard of the Merry Monday Christmas Card challenge until yesterday, but loved the look of it so much that I've squeezed in a last minute entry.

As there was no time for ink I focused instead on adding texture and dimension!

I think I'm happy with it, but alas...  I know myself well enough to realise than any project I make in just the space of four or five hours (yes, I'm a painfully slow crafter) will inevitably be looked at tomorrow with a 'if only I had...'  At this point I normally pull it apart and salvage the usable parts or sometimes just add to what's already there.  It's not tomorrow yet, so who knows...  maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised for a change!

Supplies used:
Dies:  Paper Smooches 'Stitched Tag', Impression Obsession 'Pine Branch'
Punch:  Woodware 'Single Holly Leaf'
Embossing Folder:  Cuttlebug 'Snowflakes'
Other:  Red Button,  Raffia (Natural),  Morning Dew Drops (Clear)

Other challenges entered:

ABC Christmas Challenge 'Q is for Quantum Leap'
(B is for bows, D is for Die Cuts, K is for Keep it Simple)

Simon Says (Wednesday challenge) 'Anything Goes'

Have a good week...

Donna

Yes... You've remembered I absolutely HATE feeling cold, being cold, Winter... all of it. But I love making Christmas projects most of all!
I think it's because the colour schemes I like best all suit this time of year :)

  6. Hi Donna, Thankyou for finding my butterfly challenge. Hope you can find the time to Flutterby sometime. Your holly card is fab just as it is. I take ages to make a card so 4/5hrs seems Speedo Gonzales to me. Hugs Mrs A.

I spend most of my time moving bits of paper around and trying them in various colours... that's why I take so long!!!

  10. Oh, Donna, I hope to heaven you did not pull this card apart today when you got up! It is outstanding!! I had to smile because you felt rushed to enter and then look what MM turned around and did! The new challenge is holly!! Can you believe it?! That happens to me all the time, too. Either way, this is an absolute winner in my book!! Hugs, Darnell

    1. Hi Darnell :)
My card is still in one piece... but I think more because of the lovely comments people have left than anything else!!! (That's why I value the feedback so much. In an own worst enemy/critic of her craft skills competition I would be a strong contender to win)!!!
Yes... I noticed the new holly challenge! Looks like I'll be seeing you and your Hammy there!!!
      Take care :)

Wow, I love everything about it - I wouldn't change a thing! I am a slow crafter too - I keep fussing with my cards (even though they may not look it hehe!). Have a great weekend and happy crafting!

Wish I could train myself to do more 'relaxed crafters'... just don't think my brain's geared that way very often. Guess that's why I love making tags... less space to fill!!!
