Craft Consortium, Woodland, Junk Journal/Scrapbook

My project today features just a few of the many papers, toppers and charms you will find in the new Woodland collection - designed by Clare Therese in conjunction with Craft Consortium.

I'm not sure whether to call this a 'junk journal' or a scrapbook as it really combines both ideas...

The inner pockets and front cover also include a piece of paper from the Essentials/Dark Grunge collection...

And the pages themselves?

Cut from my vast supply of brown paper packaging.

You may notice that the tree topper has a distressed look to it.  This is easily achievable with just a light sanding.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Don't forget the project launch is due today on the Create and Craft Channel at 12 noon (GMT)!

Craft Consortium, Noel, Distressed Christmas Card

I'm taking a break from all things Halloween to share a Distressed Christmas card with you all...

This card was made using two papers from Craft Consortium's 6x6 Noel collection,  plus one additional topper and a wreath metal charm.

(Additional elements include some torn paper from the Grunge - Dark Tones collection and White Elegant Satin Ribbon from the Always & Forever collection, plus some kraft card, twine, silver Stickles and stamps from my own personal stash).

I hope your own Christmas plans are going well.

How many Christmas cards have you made so far, I wonder?

Craft Consortium, Over The Hedge, 'Swatch Style' Notebook

Notebooks come in all shapes and sizes, so why not create a 'swatch style' version using every paper available from the Craft Consortium 'Over The Hedge' collection..?

That way you'll never forget which paper pad you are looking for when searching for a particular pattern!
(Label the back so you don't forget)!

Here's mine...  just to give you an idea of what I mean...

I'm not going to show you each and every single page.

Just a few so you can see what I've done!

...  and don't worry.  That big rectangle on the left isn't upside down.  I've just twisted the tag on itself to take the photo!

Do you like this idea?

I know that some people find it difficult to cut into their paper pads and was thinking that perhaps if they made something like this they would always have a keepsake from it?

Want to have a go and making one for yourself?

Craft Consortium, Over The Hedge, CAS Card Trio

I'm back today sharing the cards I made to go in the Card Organiser I posted online earlier this week...

As you can see, these are very simple to make!

One design concept.
Three different looks.
All CAS to some degree or other.

But hopefully a nice way to introduce the 'Over The Hedge' characters to you if you haven't seen them already!

Which is your favourite...  Olivia, Harry or Henry?

These little cuties are all toppers you can find on the inner cover of the 12x12 paper pad.

But don't forget, Craft Consortium also have them available as printed wooden characters or as clear stamps.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Tag You're It, Buttons

It's time for another theme over at the TagYou'reIt challenge blog...

and today's my turn to choose!

I've chosen a very subtle colour palette for my tag...

Using some scraps of decoupage paper, I've adhered them to white painted cardboard and then cut them out using some mini craft dies.

Spray on some varnish with a glitter finish and then sand down slightly to create a distressed look.

The tag itself has two layers...

Underneath is a simple Distress Oxide layer (Hickory Smoke) that's had water splashes added.

On top I've simply used a die that has some stitching and holes in it, then glued on the flowers.

Another light spray of varnish, then add some doodled on flower stems and leaves and distress the edges a little.

One final touch is to add the button - which just so happens to be the challenge theme!
