Christmas Tree Tag, Embossed, Acetate

I have a 'meh' style tag to show to you today.
It was made to play along with Day 10 of Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags...

Now you all know what I mean by 'meh', don't you?

I know it's not completely awful to look at (well, I think I know it's not completely awful, but I could be wrong)...

 but it's just not 'me'...

And I so struggle with anything that's not 'me' when I've made it.
Am I alone in that?

Anyhow...

I chose Tracey's pretty tag as my influence for today's post.
(Sorry Tracey.  I don't think I did a very good job).

Supplies Used:

Dies:
Sizzix/Holtz Framelits 'Tag Collection'
Impression Obsession 'Fir Trees'
Memory Box 'Cosmic Star'

Embossing Folder:

Brusho:

Yellow

Ink:
Holtz/Distress 'Black Soot'

Other:

That's me finished for today...

  1. I love your take on the inspiration. I don't think it's "meh" at all . . . but everyone's taste is different!

  2. I hear what you are saying, Donna ... it may not be YOU, but you are wrong about this one being 'meh' ... and I'm intrigued by that 'ice-y' bit of loveliness going on here! xx

    1. Frosted lace Stickles on the branch ends. Then when dry dabbed with white acrylic paint. Pink stars just dabbed with the acrylic paint.
Wish you lived closer, Michele... but glad you are where you are meant to be. X

  3. None of your tags are "meh", including this one! All your tags are fantastic and make me want to make tags!

    1. Bless you Bonnie,
Tags are so much fun to make... when they go well!
At least I'm getting to try out lots of new ideas.

  4. NEVER sell yourself short! You are super talented and this happens to be one of my favorite tags! I love the folk art feel of this tag and the colors are gorgeous! It's not "meh." If you put up this tag with a bigger photo setting we would all get a better look and love it even more!
    Take Care!

    1. I've just tweaked my photo set up this weekend so the lighting's hopefully better at least. Lighting was awful this day, but no time meant choosing the best option and trying to make do! Once I've got all of Tracey's tags up I'll try for a better photo. Thanks, Michele. I appreciate any and all feedback. X
