Christmas Gift Card Tag, Vintage/Distressed. Let It Snow

My tag for Day 4 of Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags is not my cup of tea at all.
In fact, I think it's absolutely vile...  but I know that that has a lot to do with the fact that I used patterned papers that are not to my taste at all

Not.  My.  Colour.  Scheme.  In.  The  Slightest.
Yuck!!!

But as I'm off to my first ever craft fair this coming week (it sounded like a good idea at the time, but now I'm beginning to dread it) I thought it best to stretch myself and see what others may or may not like.  Others who aren't very kind craft people like you all are. x

I'm painfully aware that I may sell absolutely nothing, but I needed something to get absorbed in to keep me busy and exhausted.  Busy means no time to think which is good right now.
Of course, this whole craft fair thing might just knock my confidence completely, but nothing ventured, nothing gained as they say.

So here's my ugly tag for this post...

The basics of this design are what I use on the back of my extra large tags to turn them into gift card tags.   The peg stops the envelope inside from sliding out.

This very beautiful, very lovely green tag is what I used for my inspiration.
I should have used green, too.  Sighs...
(Are you laughing at me)?

Please don't feel you have to find something nice to say about this monstrosity.

  2. I may be laughing a little, but not AT you! I feel the very same about many of my creations, Donna! It's that patterned paper that does us in... at any rate, I think your little tag is quite wonderful...

    1. It's advertised as a Craft Fair as it's the Christmas 'one' , but they meet every month to raise funds for a Cancer Hospice. Other types of crafters attend, but not paper crafters as far as I am aware. Hadn't planned to do this as such. Just enquired for at some point in the future and got told one spot left so made a snap decision to take it. Haven't a clue what to price things at!
