Bird/Heart Tag Card, Missing You, Muted Colour Palette

I have noticed that many in Blogland are suffering from what I'm going to refer to as 'Lost Mojo-Itus'.
It does seem to be reaching pandemic proportions, doesn't it?
I think that the cold and a lack of sunlight affect many of us far more than we realise.

So with that in mind, perhaps my tag card for today's new Tag You're It challenge is paying homage to what so many of us seem to be missing...

It's a simple offering that shows just how easy it can be to make a tag into a card.

A bird stamped on vellum, some sparkle from the ink used (and a pen) plus a tiny gem and clear embossed sentiment just give this a little something extra to add visual interest whilst still keeping to a clean look.

Where did my inspiration come from?
Let me show you...

I was inspired by the colour scheme but wanted softer, gentler colour tones for my design.  As you can see, I also stuck with the heart and animal theme but swapped out the cute critter for a bird.
And for those of you who haven't seen it (inspiration can be a funny thing like that.  For some it's obvious, yet for others it's anything but) Lisa's 'tag on a tag' has become a 'tag on a card'.

    1. ... and , no thank you. I have no need for the prize this time 'round. Off to a new home with it.
I'm playing with PB stamps (the brushstroke ones) and loving it. Just got to figure out what to do with them once stamped!!!

  10. You are such a talented writer (which I have 'authority' to comment on, being a high school English teacher for a kazillion years *grin*) in addition to being an amazing designer. Your tag/card is fantastic and yes, speaks very much to my current plight of Lost Mojo-Itus. I 'have' to create, given my various DT obligations, but very little seems to 'fit' (you know what I mean). Perhaps Mr. Mojo remained behind at my mom's, where I was on a 'working visit' for 12 days, marking our province's Gr. 12 English diploma exams. Hope it returns...I'm tired of feeling 'soft and grey' *grin* As you can tell, your post did cheer me up! You're so dang clever!

So you have a Mr Mojo, do you?
Well as you've read, I have a Mo and a Jo that are as thick as thieves and get up to all sorts of mischief together. Still, I suppose it's nice that they get along so well!
      Have a good weekend...

  15. I love this soft missing you tag-on-a-card tag, Donna! I think you're right, the winter weather does zap the mojo juices from a lot of folks. That, and a lot of folks are abandoning blogging for the much less time-consuming Instagram. Not my cup of tea, but evolution doesn't always go the way we like! Lots of hugs, Biscuit

Trying to keep on top of blogs, FB and Instagram is (insert word/s of choice) hard work! Glad I'm not the only one who's noticed that. X
