I had a rare 'I like that' comment from my husband when he saw this tag that I made to link in to Tracey's 25 Days of Christmas Tags event. And I really do mean rare!
I have to admit though... I do quite like it, myself.
It reminds me of a Christmas bauble :)
Here's my tag.
I'm linking this one to Day 2 of Tracey's event...
... and here's Tracey's tag (below).
Gorgeous, isn't it?
Can you see how I kept the birch background and snowdrift in place before adding in my own design features?
Dies used:
Die-Versions (Sweet Petites) 'House and Trees'
Memory Box 'Large Snow Globe'
Stencil:
Creative Expressions 'Birch Tree'
Other:
Crafter's Companion 'Christmas in Mulberry Wood' Stamp
Memento (Tsukineko) 'Olive Grove'
White Glitter Paper
Brown Card Stock
Sequins
This was my first time using my one and only Die-Versions die. Do you know of any others that I should have in my stash?
If you do, let me know... if you have the time, of course :)
I've got one more tag to post later on this week... and then hopefully some more next week.
Yay for tags! They are such fun to make... Seriously they are.
Oh yes... (and I haven't nearly forgotten this time)!!!
As the whole of this tag was made from my snippets stash, I'm off to go and play at
... and a new challenge to me...
(I'm not 100% sure this qualifies as I'm not clear if I should only be using HLS products. Hopefully somebody will let me know)!!!
... and
Won't you come and play, too?
Donna.
A lovely tag Donna. I like it very much too. Barbxx
ReplyDeleteThank you, Barb :)
DeleteI have to confess... for all I know my husband may have been referring to the composition of the photo rather than the tag itself. But if I don't ask I can always hope!!!
Both tags are very pretty Donna! I love that sweet little scene in the first and the gold sentiment in the second! Have a great day my friend! Hazel xx
ReplyDeleteHello, Hazel. Thanks for stopping by :)
DeleteTracey's tag is the one with the gold sentiment. It really is a lovely inspiration piece and perfect in its own right, isn't it?
Are you playing along, Hazel?
Hugs to you...
Donna. X
We've all gone tag mad this week!
ReplyDeleteLove the look of your pretty "bauble" one. Must be destined for hubby's present if he liked it so much!
Hugs, Sarn xxx
This is far too pretty for him!!!
DeleteBut I may tweak the design for a more suitable 'man' tag... maybe... (Depends on time)!!!
Popping on over to see if your tags are on your blog yet :)
'Bye for now... and save me some chocolate, sweets or biscuits, ok? If anyone managed to smuggle any out that is!
LOVE this tag Donna! The silhouette works beautifully and the little sequins are a super finishing touch too.
ReplyDeleteNot sure that I have any Die-Versions dies, but their Corner Concepts are appealing, I've dithered over those few times :)
Hugs
Di xx
Hello you :)
DeleteGlad you like it. Silhouette dies make life much easier. don't they?
I shall go and have a wonder over to these Corner Concepts you speak of. So many toys... so little darned room to store them all!!!
But where there's a will, there's a way... so far!
Busy at the hospital with daughter tomorrow. It will be a LONG day with no time for play :(
'Bye for now...
Donna I quite like it too! That house in the snow is so sweet Thank you so much for joining me at the 25 Days of Christmas Tags!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteHi Donna, your tag is beautiful. Love the gold! You don't have to use HLS products to play along but you are in for the chance to win some :) Thanks so much for playing along at Happy Little Stampers xx
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kylie...
Deleteand thanks for clarifying :)
Super use of snippets. A gorgeous tag.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sue :)
DeleteSo sweet, there is something special about a card/tag with a scene on it. Great work. (I love using my scraps too, if at all possible!)
ReplyDeleteHi Teresa :)
DeleteThank you. Do you play at Pixies Playground and make use of her 'Snippets' challenge? If not, I would encourage you to. They are some of the loveliest craft people I've ever met.
Take care. x
Beautiful sentiment to go with the cabin , beautiful tag ,Danna!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)

ReplyDeleteThank you, Susan :)
DeleteHi Donna, saw your pretty tag at HLS Christmas Tag challenge, and thanks for joining us! It is a very heartwarming design, and you used this die wonderfully well. What an ornament to share on your tree from year to year, and make it so special! Good job! And yes, one must have LOTS of dies to make cards! LOL! (maybe one doesn't HAVE to have them, but one DOES want them, yes?) Hugs
ReplyDeleteSo many dies... so little time!!! I wonder how big your die collection is?!!!
DeleteThanks for stopping by. I appreciate it... and I'm very happy that you like this little tag :)
great tag... love the snow on the house and the ground... it would make a cute Christmas ornament. Thanks for joining us a Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge LesLee xx
ReplyDeleteThank you, LesLee :)
DeleteLovely wintery scenes on each of your pretty tags. Love the birches on #2 with the soft aqua blue background, and the sweet homey scene on #1's cabin. TFS & playing in the HLS November Christmas Tag challenge.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mary :)
DeleteI always enjoy finding new challenges to play along with.
