Craft Consortium, The Herbarium, Repurposed Cacao Container

A quick post from me today!

I'm using papers from The Herbarium collection (from Craft Consortium and all good craft retailers) to repurpose another of my Cacao Powder containers.
They make for great homemade food/treat packaging as they clean up inside just perfectly...

...  And as for the 'Best Before' date stamped on the base?  A touch of Isopropyl Alcohol wipes that  off just effortlessly.

I've simply used PVA glue to attach the backing paper, gluing a little at a time to ensure it bonds well to the surface.

Once dry, cover in your chosen design...  I've opted for this gorgeous dark paper that I've glued on to three layers of card before piercing holes for the thread that will eventually wrap around the spoon.

Simply thread the twine through the holes prior to gluing into position.

You'll need a strong glue for sure!

I've used Holtz Distress Collage Medium/Matt to attach mine, held it in place for a while by hand and then wrapped it securely in a piece of cloth until completely dry.

Add a teacup image (fussy cut from the paper pad), a stamped and heat embossed 'Drink Me' (it's on one of two sets of clear stamps that are available to compliment the paper pad) and then cover the whole thing in Holtz Distress Collage Medium/Crazing before using hot glue to hold the metal spoon in place.

Then tie your twine bow.

For those of you who work in an office environment, perhaps this is where you could hide your chocolate bars instead of your teabag stash?!

It's just a thought!

Enjoy your day...
