Craft Consortium, It's Snome Time, Let It Snow

The official launch of 'It's Snome Time' is happening at 4pm (GMT) today over on Create and Craft TV!

I've opted for a Mixed Media 'Triptych' display piece that can easily be adapted to suit.

Yes, it can stand.  Or be hung.

...  And you can add little pockets to the back for gift cards.

Want to see which 'It's Snome Time' products I used to put this together?

Here's the list...

Tag You're It, Summer Splash

'Summer Splash' is the new theme starting today over on Tag You're It.

I've chosen to use a pretty scrap of paper from my Craft Consortium stash to create this very simple design...

Simply glue your scrap on to a slightly wider piece of card, add a belly band that you've inked up slightly round the edges and add a focal tag to the middle.

My tag has been stamped on using Memento 'Tuxedo Black'.  I've then added a few white highlights using a gel pen before stamping back over in Ranger 'Perfect Medium' and Heat Embossing.

One hole punch and piece of black raffia later...

and you have a simple, but effective design.

Whether it's a long tag or a bookmark is entirely up to you!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a good day!

Happy Little Stampers. ATC Challenge, Time

I've gone with the simplest of ideas for my Happy Little Stampers ATC coin today...

The challenge theme for this month is 'Time'...

I would be fibbing if I said this was my first idea, but given the size of an ATC coin and my lofty ambitions I had to ditch that!  Plus, I think this beautiful sentiment fits the bill nicely...  past, present and future are all to do with time, after all!

How was it made?

*

Start by brushing even strokes of Red acrylic paint on to your coin.

Once completely dry, use sand paper and (following the direction of the brush strokes) gently sand back and forth.
(This lifts the paint from the edges to give a worn, aged look).

Stamp on the sentiment using Stazon Jet Black ink and a Stamp Positioner Tool.

Do not remove the coin or the stamp!
Instead, use a Uniball Signo White pen to highlight parts of the sentiment and then stamp over using Ranger Perfect Medium.

Heat emboss using Clear embossing powder.

Using White acrylic paint and a finger, gently run around the edges of the coin.  Don't worry if the paint is not even...  that's the look we want!

Add three small White flowers to finish.
