Craft Consortium, The Nativity, Storage Pot/Pencil Holder

I've taken a 'lateral thinking' move with today's post as I'm thinking ahead to Christmas with an idea that can still be used beyond the day itself...

I've used 6x6 papers and charms from the Craft Consortium 'Nativity' collection to create a 'gift pot' - the type used for sweets and chocolate that then gets wrapped in cellophane with a pretty big bow tied around the top.  Once empty, rather than throwing it out it can be reused as a pencil holder or a storage pot.

To create this idea I've mixed up the toppers just a little bit and created a scene that shows what could pass for a little angel showing her soft toy bunny rabbit to a cat!

Do you think it works?

This started off as the inner sections of two large empty tape rolls, glued together and wrapped in cereal box card.

Simply draw around the outside of the tubes several times, cut out and glue together to create a base.

Then sand off any rough edges before painting and decorating...

Thanks so much for stopping by today.

It's always appreciated...
