Poppystamps, Love Lives On

I'm mixing vibrant colour with muted shades and no colour at all
over on the Poppystamps blog today.

I've even thrown in some hand stitching!

Full details on how this was made can be found here.

Craft Consortium, Tropical Paradise, Happy Birthday Library Pocket Tag

The Tropical Paradise Essential Paper Pad (sold by Craft Consortium) is full of beautifully vibrant images, which means that even just using a little can go a long way.

I haven't used just a little here though!

I've paired three of the background papers with two images from the topper sheet and used black as a contrasting element to help break it all up a bit...   as well as adding just a touch of brown Distress ink and gold glitter card.

This bird is just so pretty, so I had to give it centre stage!

Tag You're It, Spring Flowers

A new challenge starts today over on Tag You're It.

The theme?
Spring Flowers.

Here's my take on it...

I couldn't resist using this Xcut small dies 'Flower Jar' set.
It's the only Xcut one I own...  I just love the cute little set of flowers it has and they are often so hard to come by.  So I had to buy it really!

Paired with a Memory Box/Open Studio bird from the Finnegan Fronds set and a Quickutz die.
(Both now retired).

Want to join us?

I hope so!

You can always keep your tag blank just like I did.  That way it'll be just perfect for Birthdays, Thank You, Mother's Day, Thinking Of You...  the list goes on!

Craft Consortium, Grunge Papers - Light And Dark Tones, Decorative Hanging Mobile

I wanted to make something a little bit different to showcase at least some of the gorgeous new Grunge Papers that are now being sold by Craft Consortium.

I also had an old indoor hanging mobile that used to belong to my mum that was in need of a massive overhaul of some kind.

This is what I ended up making...

Exceptionally difficult to get any decent photos of this that do it justice, but here goes..!

Would you believe that this started off as a heap of cereal box offcuts?

I'ver simply used Tim Holtz Collage Medium to glue these gorgeous papers on and have four glued and die cut layers per shape.

Finish with some Varnish spray and these become both durable and protected.

Poppystamps, Sending You Love

I have a 'higgledy-piggledy' garden shed inspired project to share with you today...

Full details of how this was made can be found over on the Poppystamps website.

Click 'here'.

This was a lot of fun to make as I got to use several different mediums - Brusho Colours, Graphite Blocks, Distress Crayons, Distress Ink, Gilding Wax, etc.

Have a good weekend!

Craft Consortium, The Herbarium, Repurposed Tea Tins

Another very quick post from me today!

If you saw my repurposed Cacao Container last week (see here) it may have got you wondering just what you might have lying around that you can also repurpose.

If that's the case, let me tell you that as long as you use a glue such as the Tim Holtz Collage Medium you can even redecorate empty food or drink tins!

These were containers for Chinese Tea originally...
