Cherish The Memory, Studio Light, Enjoy Winter

Anyone who knows anything about me knows that I don't 'do' Winter.

I'm small and thin...  and I have a health condition that is quite literally exacerbated anytime I get cold.

Yet this Photo Topper that I'm using as the focus of today's project was just far too pretty to leave tucked away in a drawer somewhere...

...  so here I am, showing you a design that celebrates the season I hate most of all!

If you like this card you'll be please to know that Cherish The Memory still has these items in stock.

I've included the links below to take you straight there, but do stop by for a quick look around as there are many pretty items to choose from.

Happy Shopping!

Cherish The Memory, Winter Trails, Notepad Holder/Gift Idea

With Christmas fast approaching, I thought it might be nice to share an idea with you - especially if you are the kind of paper crafter who loves to make small gifts for others.

So without further ado here it is...  a notepad holder.

This should (I hope) be an easy idea to adapt to suit your needs, your tastes and your budget.

Cherish The Memory have so many lovely papers to choose from that you are bound to find something you truly love.

Just remember that to make this sturdy you will have to back the papers and ephemera on to cardboard.

Here are the links to the StudioLight supplies that I used:

If you look very closely at the left and the right hand sides of this project you should see some teeny, tiny stars.

Let me show you...

These are not from the papers themselves, but have been stamped on using the clear stamp set that I've included in the supplies list.

Aren't they just the cutest?

It just goes to show how sometimes it really is the little things that make a difference.

My heartfelt thanks to you if you've had the time to stop by today...

Cherish The Memory, Winter Trails, Gift Bag

I love mixing and matching different elements in a quest to make something pretty.

Perhaps it's some kind of challenge I set for myself on a subliminal level...  I don't know.

But what I do know is that when it all comes together there is a sense of achievement.

Is this something you recognise in yourself, I wonder?

Today's project uses scrap corrugated card that came as a protective layer on my photo boards, plus a plastic net bag that had mini cheese in it - how's that for the basis of a project?

But with a few sequins, die cut snowflakes, pom poms and scrap card left overs it is possible...  as long as you have some ephemera to tie it all together.

And what better than to use the beautiful backing papers, scrapbook papers, die cut books and various other beauties that Cherish The Memory sell?

Here's my mixed media/rustic project for today...

I did dry brush a layer of white gesso on to the bag before decorating it and I have used texture paste on the ephemera to give the illusion of snow - which obviously lends itself to a more muted effect in terms of colour.

There is so much more to these die cut block books than simply using them for cards.

What will you use them for, I wonder?

Thanks for stopping by...
