Craft Consortium, The Riverbank, Display Piece

My project for today is a display piece that focuses on some of the many toppers available to fussy cut from the Riverbank Collection...

This is a collection put together by Craft Consortium in partnership with Hackney and Co...

I've mixed and matched various papers from The Riverbank premium paper pad...

...  added a wood texture from The Essential Craft Papers - Wood Textures range...

...  backed toppers on to non shedding glitter card.  (Craft Consortium have a variety of colours)...

...  as well as adding a few die cuts (also from glitter card) and a few key words to set the scene.

Not the best photo here, but at least you get to see the whole display!

Tag You're It, Coffee Break

I had a lot of fun creating this itty bitty coffee cup design for the new Tag You're It challenge.

I've stamped and heat embossed directly on to corrugated card for the sleeve, used an old die from Memory Box to cut out the butterfly embossed background and simply added two distress ink colours to my jauntily placed lid.

Then add the flower and the leaves...  oh, and a hole to add the hanging loop by.

How easy is that?

Creating tags is one of my favourite things to do.

Poppystamps, Happy Easter

I'm on the Poppystamps blog today with this fun design for a notebook cover...

The perfect little Easter gift for a teacher or teachers aide, perhaps?

Although not at all difficult to make, this did involve a lot of dies!

Full info over on the Poppystamps blog.

Craft Consortium, The Riverbank, ATC Box

Do you know what an ATC is?

It's an Artists Trading Coin.

I've seen them being made for a while now and decided that I want to play along, too...  but first I need a box to keep them safe in!

So I made one...

I'm planning to add extra charms to mine so that the weight keeps the lid down, but for this photo I thought it best to show you just one dragonfly charm so that you can see it properly.

Here's a list of the Craft Consortium supplies used...

Poppystamps, Challenge Reminder, Miss You

There's still time to join in with the Poppystamps challenge for this month...

PSC#54, Spring Cleaning.

Here's my DT project for the challenge.

As this is a CAS card it's very simple to make...  but if you would like to pop on over to the challenge blog for details (and/or a list of supplies used), please click Here and the link will take you straight to the post!

Poppystamps, Blog Blitz, For Always Being There

I'm over on the Poppystamps blog today with a monochrome idea, softened with a grey sentiment...

And what's more, these cute Whittle Birds are the giveaway prize for one person (chosen at random) who stops by here to leave a comment...

...  or over on the Poppystamps Instagram page!

I always add a thin layer of varnish (spray can) to protect my white cards...  unless I'm after a bit more texture! (In which case tend to favour Holtz Crazing Medium).

Full details on 'how to make' are over on the Poppystamps page...
(Same link as above).

Thanks as always for stopping by today.

Enjoy your week...

Tag You're It, St Patrick's Day/Birthday

I'm here with a reminder post for the current Tag You're It challenge...

...  and mine comes with a twist!

After all, people do have their birthday's at all times of year!

Here's my tag...

... And here's the challenge theme.

Can you see what I've done?

I've taken the three leaf clover element from the challenge theme and used that as the basis of a Happy Birthday tag.

The three leaf clover design has been taken from Pinterest.

I've simply added the heat embossed stamping, splatters and a few die cuts to brighten it up.

There's still time to join us at Tag You're It!

Hope to see you there.

Craft Consortium, The Riverbank, Framed Scene

Have you seen the new Riverbank Collection?

It's the newest product range that Craft Consortium has put together in Partnership with Hackney & Co...

...  and it IS amazing!

So much so that I spent an entire week on this project...  and enjoyed every single minute of it!

Lots of photo's to show you.

Here goes...

I've made the frame using paper from the Premium Paper Pad and added a distressed look to the edges using Silver Gilding Wax.
The base of the frame uses one of the newest Glitter Card colours that has been added to the collection.

The 'page' is from an old gardening book.
I've dry brushed with White Gesso and rethreaded the page...  leaving the ends to dangle off the frame.
Then I've used Texture Paste through a stencil, inked that back over with a dauber once dry...  and then added some stamped images from the new collection that have been heat embossed using Distress Powder.

The stamped images have all been fussy cut, then coloured using Lindy's Magicals.
Here's two photo's I put on Instagram showing some of the colours used...

I've used a mixture of die cuts...  some cut from Glitter Card, some from Tim Holtz's Shattered Collection and some painted with Acrylic Paint.

I've even added a few Nuvo Jewel Drops to the centre of the Water Lilies!
