My tag for Day 18 of Tracey's 25daysofchristmastags2017 is quite possibly the most 'unChristmassy' Christmas tag I have ever created...
... but it does have holly and it does have berries!
And those are poinsettia flowers... I just don't like to layer them up!!!
I guess that's what happens when you use pink instead of red, but I'm only following this absolutely gorgeous inspiration tag for my colour choices today...
And I'm not worried.
After all, people have birthday's close to Christmas... don't they?
Enjoy the rest of your week...

Psst, you can get pink poinsettias - they are called Princettia :) so I think it's very much a Christmassy tag. They look very pretty unlayered and set against the white embossed woodgrain x
ReplyDeleteDo you know what... I knew that - but had TOTALLY forgotten (as in I knew about pink, but could not tell you that they had a different name)!!!
DeleteIt still doesn't look at all 'Christmassy' to me.
Now to find out if they do a Winter pink clematis...
If they do I'll just swap out the middles of the flowers for spikey things - and voila... a winter clematis tag instead.
What do you think?
I think it works either way but it would make a gorgeous Clematis freckles which is such a pretty flower and it flowers through winter. Either way it's lovely and I like that it's pink :) x
DeleteHave I just found a gardening expert?
DeleteYou sound very knowledgable...
I think I'll be changing it to a Winter clematis instead.
Thank you for your help, Claire. Xxx
Well I think it's not only a gorgeous tag, but definitely Christmassy. Those berries!
ReplyDeleteMany, many thanks Maria.
DeleteThose berries are one of Poppystamps latest - if you are planning on looking/buying!
I just slapped on a bit of distress crayon after trimming them down.

I'm in love with these hot pink Poinsettia, Donna! They are the only color I'd buy these days... besides white!
ReplyDeleteLOve your tag, the dies are fabulous, and OH don't even get me started on the embossed tag... isn't this where our day started yesterday? So happy when you play along at 25 Days!

Well poinsettias come in all colours Donna, love the pretty pink once though, beautiful tag my friend.

Hello 😊! I think it's more that green and red are considered traditional colour choices... but I like this in pink, too! (Still think I'm making a Winter clematis version at some point though)!
